(DOWNLOAD) THE "ORIGINAL" INSERT INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS The Ultra Great™ air tight heat exchangers are a combination of our air tight fireplace doors and a tubular heat exchanger. These products are designed to extract heat from a traditional, non heating fireplace without the need to modify any of the existing fireplace or chimney components. An Ultra Great simply slides into the existing fireplace and is secured in place by several clamps. A variable speed, thermostatically controlled fan forces room air through the tubular exchanger, transferring heat from the fire into the home to maximize efficiency. Heat outputs exceed 45,000 BTU per hour. Unlike a "stove type" insert the Ultra Great does not require relining of the chimney to satisfy insurance requirements and codes. With this product open burning of the fire can still be enjoyed through a screen. Combustion air is supplied to the fire by pressurization caused by the fan. The faster the fan is run the faster the fire will burn. Air enters to the fire in five locations: at the base of each door and through 3 screened holes located directly behind the fan housing inside the base of the heat exchanger. The Original Ultra Great is standard with arched doors while the Classic Ultra Great is available with rectangular Fullview style doors in the finish of your choice (black or 24K gold). Ceramic glass is a standard feature assuring you years of trouble free use.
